I use Windows XP and IE 6. Since last 2 days, everytime i open IE, after few minutes the system hangs. I have to manually end the task every time. My virus/spyware protection is Norton antivirus and is up to date. What could be the problem?

Unfortunately, lacking more information, its hard to tell. IE is notoriously buggy and full of security holes (which is why I don't use it - Firefox or Opera for me)... its possible that clearing your internet history and cache will eliminate the problem.

You may also wish to update to IE 7.

With so many nasty exploits directed at IE its entirely possible that your 'puter has caught something that doesn't yet register with your antivirus.

Its also possible that your system is appearing to hang - when it is actually in the midst of running updates from the web...
