Not that I mind, but I received a chain-letter, MLM-type email that I plan to respond to...and probably send money to, just to see what it's all about. If I had objected to, or was offended by this offer, could I report this as spam? If so, what would happen to this spammer?

If a chain letter involves money, it becomes a Federal felony.

Google Karen Liddell, Dave Rhodes, or just "chain letters" and take a look at the results.

It is either spam or a Internet rookie friend of yours sent it to you. Do NOT send them money. Do NOT respond to it at all or you will receive TONS more spam. The only way that I have found to totally get rid of spam was with a free EnterTo.com account. Most places just use filters but the spammers have many ways around those. Like using images in the body of the email instead of text.

expensive Madhukarji, I even have gained extra suitable than 3 mails interior the previous one 12 months a similar contents. this is a unsolicited mail and to be basically skipped over. Yahoo will by no skill ask for password. Six years decrease back, when I forgot the password, at the same time as contacting Yahoo, they after after happy with my identity have sent me a clean password in yet another mail and urged me to alter the password right this moment after having access to the account. So basically forget approximately approximately those sort of mails.
