I'm a packers fan and i just saw on TV that the giants are still ahead of the packers in the wildcard chase. That doesn't make sense to me because the packers have a better division record. Can someone please explain this to me??

They have a 6-5 conference record and the Giants have a 5-6 conference record.

Giants have a better record vs. common opponents, albeit slim (both only played, or will play, 4 teams in common this year - Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia, and New Orleans). Giants are 1-4 vs. common opponents, Packers are 0-4.

Yeah, I'm a packer fan and I'm gonna help u but we need to get something straight. You can't call urself a packer fan unless u know the answer to ur own question. The Giants have a better overall record and thats all that matters. Sure the packers have only lost a game in their division but that has nothing at all to do with it. get with the program.

the Giants must have a better conference record. You can't go by the division record because they are in different divisions.

because if both teams finished 8-8, they would have the same confrence record, same common game record, and then it would come down to strength of victory which the Giants totally own
