My car was sitting for serveral months and I finally got it running, but now it will not move. It feels like the ebrake is on although it is not. The car is on a flat surface and when I put it in neutral with it turned all the way off, I still can't budge it. What should I do?

the calipers are rusted shut. Probably whne you aplied the brakes the calipers stuck on the downward position and will not fully release. Check the brake cables as well, even though they are released, the rust on the cables will be enough of a drag to slow the car down. Looks like you may be in for a hydralic overhaul.
good luck...........

You can put it in gear, and try to get it to move/break loose by accelerating the engine in gear. The brakes should release, but be very careful when you start to drive it around to clean off the brakes, the pedal will be softer, and it will take longer to stop the car. It will propbably sound bad for a bit also. If after 10 times or so, it is still making noise, take it somewhere to get it checked out.......

If your e-brake was on when you parked it, it's probably the rear drum brakes sticking. Rust will weld metal parts together over time. An overhaul of your rear brakes is in order, I doubt anything else is wrong. New shoes and a good cleaning should do it. Good luck.

get behind the backing plate and run the brakes in with a brake spoon.even though the emergency brake is off in the car,it still could be stuck in the wheels.also you can loosen the turn buckle, where you adjust it at.

If you think e-brake is stuck, if the car has rear drum brake, whack on the read drums with a heavy hammer. This will realease release the brake shoes from inside of the drum.

Try to "Break" the brakes loose, try to move the car in rear first, then go forward, try it a couple times, if this dosent work than you have serious brake problems.... stuck calibers...ect..... then you need to get it to a garage so they can go over your breaks.
