I saw the music video for the song, "what hurts the most" by Rascal Flatts, and I'm not sure what really happened. Is the girl sad because her boyfriend dumped her or did her boyfriend die?

her boyfriend died. he got in a car crash she asked him some question and he told her that he wanted to be with her forever basically and then at the end she runs back to the palce he crashed at and says the same thing he did..

her dad made her boyfriend leave her, so her boyfriend left town and drove his truck off the road and killed himself
