How do you capture movis from youtube, onto windows movie maker? Please help!?

I'm trying to make an online xmas present for my dad, but I can't figure out how to get the videos from anywhere. How do I get them and convert them to the format I need?

Install Firefox and one or more plugins. It will allow you to download the movies from YouTube and Google Video, something other browsers won't allow.
