i think make up can be worn from... fifth grade up. not heavy make up though. just lip gloss and a hint of mascara or something. i think the older you get, the more make up you can use. when you get into middle school, blush and eye shadow. beginning high school, eye shadow, lipgloss, blush.... then in upper high school you can do everything.
but then again, i'm in the seventh grade and i use concealer.
but i use it because i have a bunch of dark spots on my face, not because i think it is cool.

Not sure what age 4th grade is..butt I'm going on the assumption its what us British people call Year 4 which is age 8/9 depending what time of year it is.
Yeh that is TOOOOOOOO Early to wear make up.By the time they are teens the skin will definitely break out in spots.
That not safe for them because they may look like child prostitutes.
Why wear make up to school anyway..they should be concentrating on their work not boys
I think if kids have to wear make it should just be fruity lip glosses until they are about 14yr then they can go on to wear mascara, eye shadow etc.
I wouldn't advise children to wear foundation until they have left school at 16.

Refrain from wearing it as long as possible!!! When a woman wears makeup too often, her skin does not color well and evenly with the rest of her body. Many women depend on makeup to look good or to enhance skin but it actually can cause more problems since the rest of your body is getting sun but the face is being blocked from it.
The very thing you want to use to make your face look more beautiful can actually cause more problems with your skin unless its medicated makeup.
If you are very young, some tinted lip gloss and maybe a little eye shadow can go a long way!!

well, it sounds to me as if you already know the answer to your question, but I think that by the time you're 12 or 13 is a good age. It just depends on how much your face and body have matured. If you're 11 and you look like you're 13, then go for it, but if you look and are young, then don't bother. Those who don't wear make-up are kind of lucky because they have one less thing to worry about! I hope this helps answer your question!

I think 13 but even then, girls should start gradually wearing more and more make-up, not have the whole face looking like a clown the very first time they put on make-up.

When you want to!? I think I started when i was 14, but it was just eye mascara. In the last year I have worn loads, so its given me a few spots, so the more spots the more make-up i put on... like a circle! So be careful!!! he he

I'm 40 and I still do not. I think it's a hassle and time consuming and it smears and it's expensive and it can make you look cheap and taudry if its not applied properly. Just my opinion, but the longer you go without it the better your skin will be.

good lord, they just get younger and younger.
either way, i'd go with as little makeup as possible. i always hated the "caked-on" look that some girls seem to think is attractive.
