I had the problem of my blazer not starting. It ended up being the fule pump relay that went out. I bought another one and it ran fine for a couple of days. Now most of the time when i start it it starts fine but after it warms up it starts to idle rough and acts like it wants to die while driving. There is also times where I am able to start it and it will run for a couple of minutes and then die on me,or the relay switch wont kick on at all when I turn the key. If I monkey around with the relay switch it will start just fine but still run rough. What could be going on??? its a 4.3L v6 engine

Quite possibly your fuel pump may be on it's last legs. When an electric motor becomes worn (bearings, etc.) it will draw more current than it is rated for. This could be what caused the relay to fail. The same high current that is flowing to the pump is switched by your relay and that high current could have burned the relay.

Fuel pump relay will not cause what you are experiencing. Usually with a relay you have a no start or you have extended cranking and then starts. Check the fuel pressure, fuel pump, clogged EGR valve, tune up condition. What you are experiencing could be any number of defects with the car. Do you have any check engine lite on??
good luck........

check the connection were the relay plugs in it may be bad, somtimes a weak fuelpump can pull alot of amps causing the connections to get hot and damage the connections
