I don't believe so. Someone will have to turn that light off. If the light is on, the airbag WILL NOT work. If you reset the light without fixing the airbag, it will come right back on.

You should really get the airbag fixed for safety reasons.

The fact that the check airbag light came on means there is a problem with the airbag and it may not work properly.

As for buying a reset tool:
Some people unwisely ignore the Airbag warning light. Doing so puts them and their passengers at unnecessary risk. Taking immediate action is the only wise choice. A reset tool can quickly help you determine the general nature of the problem; and while many SRS system repairs are not recommend for those without the proper tools and training, you will at least have information to help you make intelligent choices about what action to take. Plus, you will enjoy the ability to talk intelligently to your repair technician!

Very simple. You take it in, have the problem fixed, and they will reset the light at the same time. No, your airbags will not work if there is a fault in the circuit, which is why the warning light comes on to tell you.

NOOOOO. Don't do it. The reset tool, resets only the fault code, and not the problem itself. Something is wrong with your airbags. If you light doesn't go off by itself in few days take it to a service center.
