I haeve a 1998 Mitsubishi Galant and it needs a new Transmission. Does anyone know where in the Los Angeles area I can find one at a good price? Private parties are ok too.

Try some of your local recycling yards in your area there are alot in the LA area. Or carpart.com is your other choice

It'd be cheaper for you to find one of those used import transmissions. you can usually find them in like the free car newspapers you see on the street corners.
