More and more women in magazines or those you see online have shaved most of their pubic hair if not all of it. Is this a real percentage of women in general? If you go to workout, have most of the women in the locker room shaved? I can understand to wear a bikini but it seems to go beyond that. Is this just a fad or something long term.

I can't speak for most women so I don't know if this is becoming a fad or not. I would think that younger women shave their pubic hair more often than older women. The women you are seeing in magazines and on-line are women in the profession of pornography, so of course they are shaving. It looks clean and you see their genitals more clearly, so of course the porn stars are going to shave! Don't assume that because the women you see on-line and in magazines, which aren't normal women at all, are a properly represented part of the women population. They are not. They get paid to have their genitals look good, so the large majority of them are shaving.

It's a cultural brain wash thing......it will fade out eventually. it presumes that there is something wrong with a woman's natural state..... John Lennon sang that song....Woman is the N of the world.......The hair covered in the Arabic world, the painting of the face in our world, the finger nails.......etc.etc. the list goes on and on. I feel sorry for you gals being a VICTIM of the BRAINWASHING.

Its because of culture. Some do some dont. It depends on culture whether people, men or women shave their private areas.

Im sure it has something to do with the bikini thing. I personnally dont have to worry about that issue. I dont have gorilla hanging out of mine (joke. tee,hee)

Most younger woman are shaving or waxing. I do it because it feels nicer and cleaner. I have always hated that disgusting term "beaver"--but I understand where it comes from. I also think it is nice to just express my womanhood.

I do it for comfort reasons, it just feels neater and looks better. Sometimes at valentines I will let myself grow a little and have my hair waxed into the shape of a heart for my special valentine.

My husband says men who like it shaved are pedophiles at heart. Just a little landscaping works for us and has for 15 years.
