I have a set of Clinique Superbalm tinted lip treatment. I just thought about them today. There are 4 in a set in different colors. I checked my receipt and I bought it October 2004. I haven't used them. Do you think it's still safe to use them after 2 years?

If it smells like mold than throw it out!
If it is dry or looks cruddy dump it.
Otherwise try it out on your lips and if it doesn't burn or have an adverse affect than it's good. Most makeup only lasts for a few weeks

As long as you haven't opened them, they should be ok. It's kinda of like buying soup in a can or bottle; it'll last for a while, but as soon as you open it, it begins to expire. I hope this helps you!

If you haven't opened it yet, it's fine. Opened lip gloss lasts up to eight months or so before all the bacteria ruins it.

Cosmetics can host bacteria, and therefore you should do a cleaning periodically.

yes, it does expire and I don't think that it would be wise to use it, but it is still safe, just a little clumpier

If it smells funny, throw it out.
If it's cakey or chunky, throw it out.

If it smells like lipgloss, looks like lipgloss...use it.
