It's a rumour started by PS3 fanboys who can't accept their jumped-up DVD player is getting beaten by the Wii and XB360.

My console has froze twice, and that's it, heck, my PS2 doesn't reset anymore, (when reset is pressed, 99% of the time it crashes), so stuff like this is bound to happen in some models.

I bought my Wii the day that they came out. I update mine all of the time. I've had no problem with it. I've downloaded games on mine and everything. I know several people that got one the same day as mine and nobody has had a problem with theirs either.

i bought 1 on release date uk,6 days later it started to freeze up and got very hot,i contacted nintendo and was told its a common fault that would be addressed in 2nd gen systems,i got full exchange plus 5 more games by way of vouchers.so i called them again yesterday and they are sending a further 5 vouchers,who knows i may call them again on wednesday lol.ps;the fkked up batch numbers are 110211-349999
