Yes, you are definitely not alone! A couple of years ago we had to move out of state, which meant that we are all alone here in our new location for holidays, someone stole all my heirloom Christmas ornaments, and then last Christmas I babysat my dying dog that I had had for eleven years while my family went to a ski lodge in New Mexico without me. Somehow, the luster of Christmas has fallen away since the year of 9-11, hasn't it. The season has been commercialized now, and most people are lost in the hustle and bustle. It's just sad, and welcome to the blue room. I'm glad I'm not alone after all. Merry Christmas, and at least we can toast each other, right? Happy New Year and remember you are not alone, as I'm down in Oklahoma wishing you the very best. Stay safe!

Yes!! This is the time of that society says you must be happy, have an abundance of material things and pretend to enjoy being with the family that you have purposely stayed away from all year. It is also a time when we reflect on. all the "shoulda, coulda, wouldas" .

Get through the next "24" and wipe the slate clean begin to prepare for your great new year.

Yes! Yes! and Yes! We should be thinking of Christ and his birth and the miracle of that birth and sharing that with others. Instead, we put the emphasis on what should we buy for whom, how much do we spend, and there's the ever present "Why do I have to be around this person during the holidays when I really dislike him/her?" Families don't always get along and we are to forget that and ?ENJOY? the get togethers!

Yes, it is common, especially if you are not with your loved ones, or someone you wanted to be. Winter sucks for the most part, cant wait for summer and fun again.
