He must be shy. I think the next time you meet he will do better and not look away as much. He might be nervous because you are so pretty. If you like him you ask him out. You have nothing tp loose. Guys like girls to make a move. I am very shy and you would have to help me make a move. GO FOR IT.

When people have a conversation they tend to mimic what the other person is doing. You may have looked away when speaking to him. Or it could have been a shy reaction to whatever you were talking about

it is not a matter of right or left,it's a matter of lack of continuous eye contact,and this indicates embarassment .
