I have a 2006 Civic and 1993 Civic. I've also had a 1987 Accord. They're great cars. The newer Civic tends to have lots of road noise but rides great. It has a pretty stiff suspension so you also feel that. It's still pretty new and I get a little over 30 mpg, 4dr automatic. I'd choose a Japanese or German car over American any day.

I don't know what nonoi is talking about. The '06 Civic is crap??? The '06 Civic is Motor Trend's 2006 Car of The Year. For anyone who doesn't know, this is a VERY prestigious award. In order for the car to win, it must excel in basically every area for which it was intended. Incidentaly, the Civic is Consumer Reports' top pick for small cars. The ONLY downside to this vehicle is road noise (which is still very low) but the '06 Civic makes up for it with quality of materials, miraculous gas mileage, and, of course, it's long-(long, long...)-term durability. Go for it. You won't be disappointed.

I'm on my 5th Honda and 2nd Civic. Hands down in Canada it is the best car for the money. No other car in it's class that I was looking at (Toyota Corolla, Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe, Mazda3) has the safety features it comes with (6 airbags and standard ABS). Go for it. Toyota and Honda products are solid choices.
Once you go Jap, you'll realise the rest were crap.

A fifty 5 Civic A Hybrid? by no skill seen that. basically attempt removing the battery and charging it in the previous you're taking it to honda and spend a large number of money for a available pointless restore. good good fortune.

Love my honda's, I'm on my second one (only traded it cuz the wifey needed a new ride) and I'm still puttin' around.
Honda's hold up well, and if you take care of it, it will last you well beyond 10 years.
if you want good milage, any of the trims will suit you. Even the sportier SI (with a 2.0 200 HP K20 engine) gets pretty good milage and totally stands out from the crowd of other Civics.
Welcome to Civic Nation bro.

Very reliable and fuel efficient. I've owned two, with the last one being a '90 accord with 280,000miles and no engine problems. All I ever need to replace regularly with my '01 civic with 170,000miles is the oil and tires.

they are very reliable. thats why the residual value is so high. i can sell a honda that has 10 years on it and with good maintenance, the buyer can get another 10 years+ out of it.
