And it tastes terrible! Should I soak it in booze and hope for the best or just set the darned thing on fire? Any other uses for it? Thanks!

I'd go for the booze theory, that way if it doesn't taste the best hopefully you put enough booze on it that noone will notice.

Add some honey on top. They are usually sour. Homemade is always better.
