In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter if you are alive or not? You go on with what you are doing and when you 'die' you will then know if you were ever alive. What we call living now could be death in another reality; a parallel universe, if you will. How do we know that we didn't die already and this 'life' is the next step. So we could be dead to some people but alive to others as someone else. Does that make sense??? I know what I am trying to say, but for some reason I am having trouble articulating today........lol.

I suppose it depends on what one would consider "alive". Most people think the term 'alive' would mean they have a pulse, they are breathing, and have basic motor functions and sensitivity regarding their nerve endings. For me personally, alive is much more then that. Knowing I can feel emotionally and enjoy life is alive. Spending time with my fiance and striving to be on top at work is alive. Having my friends around me in times of need is proof that I am alive. There are several factors and it all depends on your point of view and to what depth you take the question in thought.

This is a strange question! You can make sure you are still alive just by breathing! Oh, and maybe check your pulse to make sure!

If you are posting questions and/or answers on Yahoo, that's a good sign that you are still alive.

Well since I believe that ghosts are demons and the dead cannot come back to the Earth once they have past on, I would know I was dead because my loved ones would not be aroudn and I would not be on the Earth anymore, nor would I be able to communicate with loved ones.

Sounds like someone had a night similar to mine. I wouldn't suggest you step in front of a bus to see if hurts. How about existence, do people speak to you? That would be an indication you are still with us.

The pain I am feeling in my knee's, shoulders, elbows, and hands, my swelled up feet are a indication as well.

Pain insures your mind that you are still alive. Without pain, one can never tell

You aren't alive. You're just a functioning invention of nature. You're nothing more than flesh and bones, so technically, you're not alive, but just functioning.
