K, I am considering just buying a completely new wardrobe. Throwing all my current clothes out and buying all new things. What sorts of essential things should I get? Also some less essential things too that I might randomly want? (I am a girl and I am in school so things I would wear to school and things)

Ok. First you need some basic, solid tees for layering, maybe two to three. You can get those at Forever Twenty One for two for ten dollars. You also need some tank tops, go to Old Navy or AE. You also need some jeans, like two to three pairs, Charlotte Russe and AE have really cute jeans for reasonable prices. You should also get a pair of cordouroy pants, Hollister have these super cute skinny cords, but they're a bit expensive. Next, you need a zip up hoody, I recommend Pac Sun. A denim jacket is kind of essential too. You should also get a pop over hoody, so if you're in a hurry you can just throw that on and not really worry about your outfit. Now that you've covered all your basics, you can get maybe four or five cute graphic tees. And then add on to that all the random things you want, you have a complete and versatile wardrobe that you can mix and match easily.

Don't worry about brand names. First of all, make sure you get things that actually fit well. Don't worry necessarily about sizes... something that is a smaller size might fit better than the one in your size. Try EVERYTHING on to make sure it fits properly. Don't worry about trendy clothing... you never know when the trend will go away and you will be stuck with clothes that aren't "in" anymore. I think the biggest thing to take into consideration is looking for things that fit well, that aren't too small or too big. This is where a lot of people end up looking like a fashion "don't" even if what they are wearing is considered essential. Get things you are comfortable in and will wear often. Check out the book "What Not to Wear" or watch the show on TLC. Lots of good advice about clothing and what's essential to a good wardrobe. Happy shopping!

If you want really cheap because you're replacing all of your clothes, go to stores like Marshalls, Ross, and T.J. Maxx. They have really cute jeans and tees. Also, some staples you might need: jeans that fit perfectly, a mini skirt, a dressy outfit, and then your basic tops, like tees, tanks, and long sleeved shirts. Oh, and don't forget hoodies and leggings. And since you're in school, I would recommend wearing sneakers and/or ballet flats, because they're cute and practical. Just make sure that you're parents say it's ok to toss all of your old clothes. Have fun with what you wear!

The main shopping points you should hit are A&F, Ralph Laurn, and juicy. By everything from jeans to sweaters, mini skirts to baby doll tops (must have) and throw in some longer skirts/ kapris and cool long sleeves. Wait- shoes! Since you are in school I would wear tennis shoes (no keds or impacts- cheapie wannabee) and balletflats. Only get leggings if you see an outfit the would look real good like that.

You should get a lot of layered tanks, graphic tees, vintage tees, mini dresses, leggings, at least three pairs of jeans, and a lot of funky cool belts. Also, get some awesome, yet inexpensive makeup from Sephora - some of their things are amazing!
