Pre-recorded - six shows a day. The competition bit is probably cleverly added on at the end.

I got a question and if anyone can answer me, just send me an email. Who is Noel? Does he host another version of Deal or No Deal? The host that we have in North America is Howie Mandell.
Anyway, to answer your question. I do think the show is pre-recorded but the phone text message thing would be live.

Pre recorded. Noel said so in an interview, about 3 a day I think. You will note the winner of the phone-in has their name on screen but Noel doesn't read it out. That's obviously put on at the time of screening. What I wonder is, could an audience member phone in if they recognise the show when it's screened as they'd know which box was opened!!!

I'm assuming when you say phone in you're talking about those ads asking you to text in which of the beauties is holding the case with the $? Though the show is pre-recorded, the ads show up when it is broadcasted.

The Ark society of television is a sponsor. They determine that
deal or no deal is paid. You have to realize that these are large
prizes, and the people that win them are chosen previous so
they must be qualified to take such large cash. The same applies on the phone ins, the membership pages are loaded with people waiting in lists from all kinds of shows that are preapproved for these cash awards. First get qualified to have a
real chance. Read the rules of prize winning on the internet.
Here is one company that has such sponsorship.

pre-recorded, all Noel does is say congratulations, he doesn't actually read out their names..the names are just edited on at the end of the show after a name is picked at random.
