Wow, some of these answers are hard to read.
The 360 and the Wii are so far apart as operating systems you cannot compare because they are not in the same league.
The 360 is a powerhouse of gaming. The fact is the 360 has better games, better graphics and has a unrivaled on-line gaming community.
The Wii simply cannot compare. The graphics are sub par, the games are childish, there is no on line gaming to speak of, and the controller is not innovative, it's problematic.
Get a 360 and enjoy it. Nintendo has fallen behind Xbox and Playstation and they will never catch up.

Depends on the games you wanna play. Both the Wii and the 360 are awesome systems, but they offer different gaming experiences. If you a Halo fan, stick to the 360 since a load of really good Halo games are coming out for it; games like Halo Wars (an RTS, think Command and Conquer), another Halo spinoff called Forerunner (its about the Forerunners, lol), and of course, Halo 3!!!
But if you want to break away from that mold, go with the Wii just for the fact that its a new and innovative system that pushes interactivity beyond what we're used to. Games like RedSteel (where you swing the remote like a sword) and Wii Sports are all fun games.
Or you could do what I did and just buy both LOL. Your choice in the end.

Xbox 360 is better because you don't have to move around so much and the WII controller is known to break apart from the other and then you have to buy another one just so it breaks . Xbox has better graphics i think and you can play at like 1 am without waking anyone in the house up because you don't have to move around like you would with the WII system. Xbox will have more games come out on it's system like Madden NFL 08. How would you play that on a WII system. Same with other sports games. You would get to tired of having to shoot that basket all day (NBA Live 08) or get tired of moving your wrist like that to shoot enemies in war games. Xbox360 costs more but in the long run it's a lot better than the WII. So Get the XBOX 360!!!

Both are good systems, i have both. Right now, get a 360. Wait till next summer for Wii when games like Metroid 3, Super Smash Bros., and the new Mario.

360.... wii is fun but there really arent that many good games for it yet get the 360 and get gears of war if you liked halo you will like gears, has a great multiplayer too

360 all the way if you more hardcore gamer. If you aren't, and are looking for good times with friends and family, then wii.

wii for sure it is the only game that makes u feel like u are actually playing and the xbox 360 controller is hard to use. also the wii is cheaper and nintedo makes better games

the wii is fun and all but its hard to use. i wish i had bought and xbox 360 insted. dont live in regret like me.

im tired of people saying that all "hard-core" gamers dont play the wii. nintendo is as hard-core as it gets. they were there from the begining. if it werent for nintendo, we would not have video games. I would go for the wii.
