No one has ever gone door to door singing Christmas carols in my neighborhood or anything, but I see it sometimes on movies. Do people do that where you are from? Also, when they come to your door are you supposed to like join them or just stand there until they finished singing? Just wondering...

I was a caroler as a kid and we practiced all our carols for weeks before. When you answer the door, just listen and don't sing along. If you know they're heading your way, serving something warm is always nice.

I think a family of carolers sing Christmas carols door to door but families they visit usually do not join in.

You should join them and sing louder than they do. When the carole ends pick it up right away and start another with wacky verses. They'll have a ball and so will you. Pass out halloween treats afterwards or invite them in for a round of dirty jokes.

I don't have carolers but I believe you are just supposed to listen. Also if its cold enough you offer them a hot drink.

I dont think ive ever had anyone come to my door caroling. I might laugh if they did. If you saw my neighbors you would understand why.

Listen and then if you have any snacks offer them some (cookies, candy) Not that thats why they do it but its just a nice thing to do.
