< from my era> Don Mattingly. He had heart, was a team player and always tried to better himself. He always gave 110 percent of effort. I dont think you can find anyone in sports who would or could say a negative thing about Donny Baseball. He was a true gentleman of the sport.

Favorite athlete huh? Rulon Gardner. not just because he's a olympic gold medalist but because he's a wreslter. and olympic caliber wrestler. The training and dedication he has to possess. WOW! training for long hours day after day, week after week. He is a man that deserves a whole lot of respect and admiration.

Michael Jordan for sure. He made the huge shot so many times and for people living in Chicago, made memories that will last forever. It'll never be as good as it was when he was playing.

Cal Ripken Jr.
He was always professional and genuinely adored his fans. I met him several times and he was always happy to talk and sign autographs.
He was always in it for the team and is involved in many volunteer organizations.
