why are we not winning or losing in iraq?

We are not losing in Iraq, beacuse we have a very proud president that cares for his own reputation. We are not winning because criminals have an underground network that we are not part of. It's kind of like heroin addicts and dealers how they have a close relationship with each other and don't snitch and let people they don't know in. The underground militias in Iraq are funded by massive unlimited supplies of money. And there is a high accountability rate within their close network. Their families would be killed if they give up information to the US. Not to mention they themselves would be killed or tortured as well. Members of the extremist militias are just puppets controlled by Muslim leaders and teachers aka brainwashers and manipulators.

Depends in large on whether you listen to the pessimists or the optimiists.. The guys on the ground over there are pretty optimistic.. the big problem is here at home. The pessimists scream the loudest... Oddly, the terrorists are in favor ot the pessimists... wonder why???? They really liked the last election results and make no bones about it. Then why not, they have no interest in negotiating anything.. just feel the newly elected people will cave in much faster than Bush!

Because it's not "U.S. vs. Iraq," but "U.S. trying to keep Iraq from seriously imploding."

Personally, I don't believe anybody wins in a war. Might does not make right. If I say "the sky is not blue, it's violet", and then kill anybody who disagrees, does that make the sky violet?

Iraq isn't about winning or losing. Rather, it's about how you fight the war.

We lost the war the day we invaded.
We invaded a sovereign country on false pretexts, wrecked their cities, killed hundreds of thousands of people and expected them to welcome us with flowers.
We lost. Am I a loser to admit it?
No, good losers learn from their mistakes and win in the future.
We lost Vietnam for the same reasons we are losing Iraq.
If you want to defend America, make her people so free that nobody will ever be able to conqueor them!
Face it America, you had the chance and you blew it.

Your not fighting people but ideas. It is two religious beliefs who think the other side is wrong.
Like Catholics and protestants. If you won as a Catholic would the protestants say "You must be right you won." It is a hopeless battle until one side or the other says I give. With both believing they are in the right and fighting for God that is not likely to happen soon.

and yes, they are sending all those young soldiers to sacrifice their lives thinking its for their nation, when its just for oil.
