I keep on hearing about this blond guy named Cloud. Who is he?? Is he from a game?

cloud is a character from square's biggest mistake - Final Fantasy VII
he was the main character, a troubled young lad that would have resorted to cutting his wrists, but he was too cowardly
as well, he was mentally weak, and was easily tricked into thinking he was a clone of a man that died and became an earth spirit, a summons not unlike Kjata
cloud was injected with some mako, a fuel source that was comprised from compressing ancient summons and magics (called materia - a copy from FFVI's magicite) and this made him a stronger person, supposedly - however, in his group were other people that weren't injected with mako that were just as strong.
because cloud was seriously lacking in size elsewhere (::gasp::), he made up for it by carrying around a large sword - the buster sword, a sword which isn't as big in other games with the same weapon name.
no amount of gel could ever put down the spikes of cloud's spikey hair, not until they came out with the movie "Final Fantasy: Advent Children" a movie that was only made to explain the storyline that they didn't care to do while the video game was being made. as well, they changed a few things, as the original game copied its story from contemporary japanese novellas - supposedly settled out of commons or whatever
