i have a laptop(HP) with a overheating prob. i live in Los angeles. California

repair shops rip you off just buy a new power supply & fan fit that in easy

Most overheating problem are caused by dust and link sucked into the computer by the cooling fans. Take the side cover off and get a can of compressed air and blow it out, especially around the processor cooling grid and the power supply fans
