actually the female child that couldn't be found is either maria or anastasia...they still don't know that one. there's a family in california that claims they are alexei's children and grandchildren, but i can tell you from my knowledge as alexei was a hemophiliac that if he survived the massacre he wouldn't live to see the age of 20. they still are figuring out what has happened to alexei but like i said i don't think he is alive at all. this family in california claims that alexei lived until 1977. he was sick child in the early twentieth century where doctors didn't know what hemophilia was.

Alexei I know died with the rest of his family, and if they now have DNA evidence that says Anastasia did too, she probably did as well.

i believed they died, but when the rest of their family's remains were discovered, alexei and anastasia's remains were missing, some people think they survived and there has been an amount of women coming out saying that she is anastasia, but most of them died before they can even have their dna testing, so the truth remained uncovered

The grave they found, it is proven that it was not the grave of the Romanovs, it was the grave of some friends and workers from the Romanov...they found another grave (in a forest in 1979) where they were able to identified all members of the Romanov family (in 1991), also Anastasia und Alexej, they were all killed!80Years after their dead the whole family were buried in St. Petersburg

I went to this lab, and they told us that Anastasia and Alexei escaped and they left. Alexei could not make it that far but they say Anastasia did.

I agree with Queenie.
There was one woman Anna Anderson, who claimed till the day she died that she was "the Anastasia", however dna proved this to be untrue that she was really Franziska Schanzkowska.

I doubt that the two unaccounted for bodies escaped the murders. They are likely buried somewhere nearby where the grave of the other victims were found.

Not too long ago it was proven with DNA evidence that the entire family died together. They all lay at rest together. For so long that was a fascinating mystery though, wasn't it?
