I read once that Hawking's computer uses a voice developed some time ago, like in the 80s, and he hasn't traded it in for a more advanced model because his current voice has come to be identified with him.

Speech synthesis in the 80s must not have been as advanced as today, so they probably weren't at the stage of having "accents" yet.

because of the fact that is been "his voice" for thus long it may be unusual to alter it. The words typed into his voicebox, no remember how robotic, are eloquent and function dignity coming from somebody with such intelligence. till he's making jokes with Hugh Hefner....he's been to the Playboy mansion inspite of each and every thing!

becuase wen he first became disabled he could only get a voice box wiv an amercian accent, now he has many on his because he is rich, but still uses de american one because ppl recognise him for it
