Both these countries are in the Middle East, a vulnerable region. Iran's nuclear program is peaceful but Israel's is not.
Zionists occupied a country. They are killing innocence people for years. They invade their neighbors. They have the slaughter of women and children in their history.
But Iran does not have any bad history.
Assume Iran's nuclear activities are not peaceful. Why they impose sanctions on Iran but not on Israel which is a criminal regime?????
Get your head out of the sand and see Israel's crimes.

you better look at your history remember the hostage crisis during carters presidency? iran openly has declared israel must be destroyed. israel just wants to be left alone and in peace. the middle east countries which comprise of syria, jordan, and lebanon belonged to israel long before the religion of islam was invented. The Romans documented this when they subjigated the israelites

first of all you cant guarantee that the nuclear activities are peacefull. even if they are peaceful, they are the first step towards a military use. so if you want to make sure that iran does not make weapons, the best thing to do is to stop them now.

then the answer for your next question is that in international politics power matters much more than logic and justice. simply speaking the powerful people want their power and influence intact.

if you dig into history you can always find bad things. think about the atrocities committed by the persian empire. at that time iranians were the most power full and they made the law.

Sind, time and time again I read postings on this site that are only trying to make a political statement and not ask a question. That is all right with me because I don’t come here to try and show everyone how smart I am but I do come here to see what other rational minds think. Just as it is not very interesting for an adult to hold a conversation with a small child, at least for the adult, it is just as boring reading rhetoric from somebody that either has no valid point to make at all or is trying to throw slam bombs against a group of people just because of hate. I am a Christian and there is no real love loss for Israel in my heart. That said I believe that I can make a couple of good points against your argument (?). Iran does not and probably will not have a stable government for years to come. Iran’s governing body is Theocratic and being such is prone to attacking other people at will without any true regard to the consequences. I can’t make you believe this is you don’t already. Iran, as does all Islamic majority countries, does have a history of aggression and the thought of them (you) having nuclear capability actually makes me shudder. I’m certainly not that pleased that India has progressed to that point and blame many of the industrialized nations, including my country (US) for that but at least they have a stable form of government. Past performance should dictate present policy. Having nuclear weapons for defensive purposes is bad enough but having them for aggressive purposes, as Iran wishes, is unconscionable. Iran’s government has pledged the annihilation of Israel and all of the Jews around the world. This is probably not an indication of peaceful intent. The nation of Israel, not the country but the people existed for almost 3000 years before the invention of Islam in 7th century ACE. They have been murdered, chased, hounded, persecuted for literally thousands of years. The small dot of land that the nation of Israel now occupies has no real importance to the Arabic world except that the Theocratic leaders of Islam cannot abide other religions, especially ones that stand up to them, and have sworn to kill all infidels. Yet another reason to make sure that not only Iran but also the other Islamic countries never have nuclear capability. This is not persecution of your religion; rather it is preservation of the rest of the peoples of the world. In the United States if you are convicted of a felonious assault you are not legally allowed to ever posses a firearm. Remember what I said about past performance dictating present policy. Iran, as well as the rest of the Middle East have committed numerous felonious assaults against many nations and have stated their intent to continue to do so. As abhorrent as the thought is, I would rather seen Iran turned into a sheet of glass that have that terror loosed upon the world.

It is not enough to make inaccurate and unsupported accusations against Israel.

They do not slaughter anyone, and you should be ashamed of yourself for making up such lies.

Today's news reports that Iranian officers have taken command of the Palestinian Gaza missile front. How does that grab you?

This is the same Iran whose leader has threatened to wipe Israel off the face of the globe. Maybe that is why the world should impose sanction on Iran. Do you get it yet?

While I agree, Iran has the right to it's own Nuclear program, I take issue with your take on Israel. The UN has put sanctions only on Irans' weapons program.
Israel has done what ever it had to do to protect itself.
If Lebannon and Palistine ever admit that Israel has the right to exist, and if Israel admits Palistine has the right to exist, then the fighting will stop.
At present, Israel is led by the same political neo-cons as America.
Not good.
However, the neo-cons are on the run, having been proved wrong in Lebannon and Iraq. Now, if everybody will take a deep breath....

Well one is a enemy one isn't .
You have a rather um-mm interesting if not accurate view of history as for Israel's crimes it all comes down to if they stopped shooting would there enemy's stop , no .Until the enemies of Israel love there children and women enough to stop strapping bombs to them don't expect them to stop being targets ,once they love there children more than they hate Israel then peace can happen.
As for them invading other countries I don't think it is invading when you go after an enemy that is hiding amongst women and children and the "authority's " in that country are unable or unwilling to ferret out the criminals .

Maybe because Isreal doesn't make statements of "wiping" people off the face of the earth.

I can tell you are Anti-Semetic...and its sad. What innocent people has Isreal killed? They respect women, hence why their holy book doesnt state that women are the slaves of men...like the Koran.

What crimes has Isreal commited again? AND, isn't there enough room in the Middle East for Muslims...they have HOW MANY COUNTRIES? Isreal needed a place of their own, and they have it. But for some reason people keep trying to remove them.

And, I seem to forget...who instigated the battle between Hezbollah? I sort of remember them kidnapping Isreali troops...yes.

Sadly, you will never change your mind. You are taken up by propoganda, and somehow it worked. Just next time, LIST the crimes with FACTUAL reports of it....you know, pictures and video would help.

I can shwo you pictures and video of Akmedmudemmijad (or however you spell his name) stating he would remove Isreal from the map. Can you do the same for Isreal? I guess not...

It's called hypocrisy and double standard... Iran,as a country that signed the NPT,has every right to nuclear energy,as long as it's used in peaceful purposes...and until now no one could prove other wise...Iran has the right to have nuclear power, unlike Israel who refuses to sign the NPT...and still have nuclear weapons. It seems that no one cares about that, because they have the blessing of US to own them...
Iran does not agree with US policies, does not agree with Bush,so they have to be a danger for all the world...since it seems that Bush decides who is good and who is bad in this world...
Instead of focusing on finding imaginary reasons to attack Iran we should be more worried about Israel now, since last summer they used uranium bombs in Lebanon...When Olmert admitted that Israel has nuclear bombs, where was the outrage?
As long as UN remains the political toll of US we will see sanctions against Iran, for doing absolutely nothing illegal, and we will also see many more vetoes when it comes to saving Israel...

Isreal tells us exactly what they have, Iran does not. Iran even refused help fron The Soviet Union to be supplied with already enriched uranium. Also Iran threatens the US everytime they are given a forum to say anything.

Primarily because Israel has never threatened anyone with nuclear weapons or any other weapons for that matter.. any action they have taken has always been in self defense.. How many wars and how many countries have tried to destroy Israel???
