it is an british tradition that goes along with the xmas crackers.
crackers are little prizes u set at the table, pull the strings at both ends and out pops ur crown and prize. just a nice little tradition that's all.

Why do they pop those little hand popper things to?
Bad Xmas tree decorating. They use purple for
one thing.
Is "Boxing Day" the day after Xmas
because they throw their empty boxes out to set
on the curb?
