You should cook Rosemary and Basil chicken, or maybe Honey chicken. Both are good.

For Christmas Eve get takeout just for your own family, if you're having guests then buy a roast, turkey or ham that is already cooked and you only have to heat it. Throw a bunch of herbed little potatoes around the meat to bake and make a frozen vegetable that comes with a sauce.

We have snacks, like mini tacos, stuffed jalapenos, summer sausage, cheese &crackers, and egg nog. We cook something big for Christmas day, but take the easy way on Christmas eve.

in my family, x-mas eve dinner is usually something fun (like Chinese food) or something traditional like Swedish meatballs. maybe you could cook something that you haven't had in a while, or really love, but don't have time otherwise to cook it. lasagna is a great idea!

Depends on what you like. I usually go for (depending on how many people) some really nice steaks, and some fresh crab. with some mashed potato's and and corn on the cob. In a word perfection.

Boil some shrimp. Use "Bay" seasonings, cocktail sauce, and a salad. Very quick and in season.
