Second the opinion of Common Sense. First cousin sex might be considered incest in some states' legal systems ... second cousin sex usually is not. Check the laws of your state. The thing about defects is a myth, disproven by research, but still a popular way to scare people back into line. Consider professional advice. Consider how best to keep the relationship away from those who know your bloodlines. Consider whether to plan on children, if you believe there's a danger (consult a medical professional on this). Otherwise, follow your hearts. Good luck.

Frist of all the ones that said you can in Ark you are wrong, you can't do that. If you were in Louisiana you could. But just the thought of that is gross. Go to each state and look up the marriage requirements and it can tell you if you can or not.

Nope ....Not incest..
There is no genetic prohibition on marrying any cousin, including
first cousins....It is legal and no reasons not to do so..
Marrying cousins and birth defects are ignorant myths that
were scientifically dispelled many years ago..

Uh yea! That's disgusting, and it's really true that your kids can be messed up. I know a couple who are 1st cousins, and every one of their 3 kids has health and mental problems. And I do believe it is illegal in most states.

Yes, it is considered incest. The rules are different in the backwoods though. Hillbillies family trees goes straight up. If it were a 'second cousin' you may get by with it. Then again Jerry Lee Lewis got away with it! That's right, he was one of those backwoods folks......and Johnny Law got him too.

yes it's incest. And if you get married what if you have kids sometimes the child can have disabilities. If you really love eachother you'd want what's best for eachother that's not the way to love a family member.

If you guys are far enough removed through family then some states recognize as being okay. However, to everyone else who has any sense of morals and respect for themselves...............it it INCEST. If you didn't now he was your cousin, then okay. If you are well aware this person is your cousin, then it's incest no matter how far apart you guys fall in the family food chain. SICK!!!

Yes it is incest. you run the risk of having children with all kinds of genetic abnormalities. The further way the bloodlines the less chance of it happening. But it is bad. It is never a good thing to do.
