Why do girls hug and or kiss each other when they see each other?
Men do a handshake for many resions. I think its just to let each other know that we are mates weather its at a start of a pary or the end of a round of golf.

In medieval times, when men fought with swords, they extended their right hands toward one another to show that they were not holding a weapon. That led to the hand clasp and shake.

It's like greeting each other.It could also mean congratulating someone.It could also mean "I'm very pleased to meet you" or "Thank you".
