what are the common denominator qualities that would make someone a geek.

A geek is an individual who is fascinated, perhaps obsessively, by obscure or very specific areas of knowledge and imagination, usually electronic or virtual in nature. Geek may not always have the same meaning as the term nerd.

dork would be someone that is funny and goofy..a nerd is Steve Urkel on family matters lol

a dork is one who usually doesn't get "it". he is small minded and not able to keep up with his peers.
a nerd is book smart, but socially does not have much to offer.
a geek is one who has the book smarts, has the sociall skills, and usually goes on to be very successful as an adult.
example of a dork: the 28 yr old guy who works at your local video-mart
example of a nerd: steve urkle
example of a geek: bill gates

Geeks, dorks and nerds are pretty similar. But I think that geeks are probably smarter and like the computer more. They call them computer nerds and computer geeks. So dorks are probably just uhh.... people who are kind of not very graceful or maybe stupid. They're all probably socially awkward.

A geek is someone smart like bill gate, a dork is someone who is dumb and annoying, and a nerd isnt smart but looks like a geek

A geek is someone who is usually good with computers and likes their name as a geek. a nerd is a pimply dude who isn't very smart and tries to be cool.....oh yeah and geeks are smart also.
