Which one of the battling religions are you going to allow exterminate the other . Saddam was do not mess with me and I will not kill you all and it worked .
This is the only thing some people understand . I am astonished that no one seems to get this into their heads .
When your momma and dad get rounded up by the police and tortured then you tend to think twice about strapping a bomb to your butt or even helping others .
You do not have to report it butt you will stay away because mom and dad will tell you not to .
These people have kids thinking its ok to kill people . I guess I am an Anti Semite cause kids writing on weapons is just so wrong .
When you accept ,no winning, is possible you see how ridiculous our leaders are .

There is no "winning" the war in Iraq. Saddam has been ousted, the country is in a chaotic civil war and we're caught in the middle trying to police it all. The best we can do for our troops and the Iraqi's is to let them rule their own country. I'm not suggesting immediate withdrawal of ALL troops but a damned good portion of them and a small contingency left for support and training only.

who knows what that will entail. we won the initial war or battle by defeating an almost non-existing Iraqi military in basically a few minutes. What we are fighting now is a mess. There is no military people there. We are fighting people in civilian clothes. It's not a war we should have entered. It is making the most powerful army in the world look bad.

There is actually more than one reason to be there, but the main focus is to have a stable, unified Iraq with democratic principles and protection for the major ethnic/religious groups.
I'd think if we could wave a magic wand and have that happen tomorrow, we'd still like to have some basing rights (likely) to allow another tactical base for the war on terror, which is international.

Initially, free flow of oil to the US and Israel . Lately, the definition may have changed; the administration is currentlu waiting for Tel Aviv to feed the answer to Bush's lips. So, you have to wait until January/2008.

Having an Iraqi Government that can stand on its own, and there Military be conditioned so that they can provide security to their own country, then we can declare victory, establish a base on Iraqi soil to deter other countries, and terrorist organizations from interfering, and bring most of our troops home**
