that is not silly that is respect and open communication. that also eliminates the the lack of trust issue. after 18 years my sweet husband will still call me and ask me how my day is going at work or at home or were ever i am. he calls me to tell me he is on his way home and then he will ask if we have plans or what we have going if anything. i encourage him to go out with the guys and do what ever but if i don't go he doesn't want to. he says its no fun with out me is that sweet or what.

No it was not silly at all. I think it is being very polite and l for one really appreciate not having to worry about where my partner is or if he is ok. I wish there were more guys like you as it would certainly stop a lot of us wives from stressing. Good on you !! Nope, not silly at all. Most girls have trust issues ... being open like that is the perfect way to gain her trust! My fiance does the same thing. He calls me whenever he's going somewhere, when he comes back, or whatever. It's not a requirement of mine but he is showing me that he can be trusted. I did not trust him at first and we have now built up our trust for each other and have no problems.

No, I think girls appreciate their guys letting them know what they're doing. This especially helps make the girl feel important in your life. Just don't 'over do it.' Then it starts to get annoying.

if you have been together for a few days and are doing this, she might think you are a bit weird, but if you guys are in a good relationship, then i don't see why she would care if you do this. it is polite.
