My 03 grand am gt has a noise like winter tires on the pament(which I dont have) only more vibrant like an engine I cant tell if it is the tires which are practically brand new (they are not wearing weird) or is something more complex. It is not effected by how high I rev the engine it is how fast I go and I can feel a slight vibration in the floor where my left foot rest is... any Ideas

First check the lug nuts. Sound more like a CV (constant velocity) axle. If the sound is louder doing a u-turn, then it's definitely the CV axle. That's approximately a $250 parts and labor job..

It sounds to me like the wheels need balancing. Call into your local tyre service and enquire, they'l take the wheel off and place it on a special wheel balancing machine. The machine spins the wheel and when its axis is altered due to an imbalance, some lead weights are positioned on the rim of the wheel, to counterbalance the wobble, which causes the vibration to cease, due to the truing up of the affected offset

wheel bearing is the easier of the two to fix first. most brake shops can do that for cheap. if it persists then it is the cv axle. unless you race. then it is possible you bent the axle. very unlikely though the hardend metals used in the axles usually break before bending.

look for a knot on the tire and check to see if you have a bent rim
also take the car in to have the tires balanced..
if its not one of those things then its your front end
