First of all, German is a nationality type and Judism is a religion. But if you mean was Hitler a Jewish person, the answer is that there has been no proof of him being Jewish. But there is proof that Hilter had a grandfather that probably was Jewish. Hilter wasn't German either, he was Austrian. That is why he wasn't blond or looked like a blue eyed German.

Hitler was not sure who his paternal grandfather was, but it was probably either Johann Georg Hiedler or his brother Johann Nepomuk Hiedler. There have been rumours that Hitler was one-quarter Jewish [1] and that his paternal grandmother, Maria Schicklgruber, had become pregnant after working as a servant in a Jewish household in Graz. During the 1920s, the implications of these rumours along with his known family history were politically explosive, especially for the proponent of a racist ideology. Opponents tried to prove that Hitler, the leader of the anti-Semitic Nazi Party, had Jewish or Czech ancestors. Although these rumours were never confirmed, for Hitler they were reason enough to conceal his origins. Soviet propaganda insisted Hitler was a Jew, though more modern research tends to diminish the probability that he had Jewish ancestors.

Hitler was an Austrian not a German

Thank you to Answerer1. Hitler was not sure... he really feared that he was part Jewish... but he was not. As you can imagine, historians (and fanatics) have diligently traced his bloodline since, and he was not at ALL Jewish... But he did fear it, and try to keep his personal ancestry private JUST in case.
Also, although German is actually bloodline (in a sense) and Judaism is a religion, to Hitler Judaism was more than a religion--and much further than the fact that One must be born into Judaism or marry into it (which makes it more exclusive than most religions, even if still more inclusive than most "races" or "ethnicities"), Hitler said that Jewish was a RACE, and to him it was. So... when talking about Hitler and his decisions and fears, we should really remember that to him it WAS a race, and one could not convert away from it (you could be 100% Christian for 2 generations, but still be Jewish, as far as Hitler and the NSDAP--Nazi Party--were concerned).

His mother, Klara, had previously given birth to two other children by Alois, (Gustav and Ida) but they both died in their infancy. Hitler was not Jewish, nor was he particularly religious.

To be German is a nationality. Even the Jews that he persecuted were Germans (some of them). Does it matter whether or not he was a Jew? There are tons of people who hate their own kind and he certainly would not be the first.
