I believe any Cingular phone can be used on any prepaid GSM (Global System for Mobile communication) network, which is the technology Cingular uses. Just find a pre-paid service that uses GSM. May want to check the link below.

Cingular also offers prepaid service.

Yes it can, I am doing it now. Just put the prepaid sim card into the Cingular phone and you are done. I have v180 and just got GoPhone and it works fine.
