I have to agree relax, since your baby is bottle fed, at least you know how much she is taking..... My pediatrician told me when mine was 2 weeks old, that he should take 2 ounces every 3 hours, so what yours is taking is about right. Check with your pediatrician though, as it has to do with the baby's weight. Here are websites that might help:

I have to agree with the first answer- just relax. Most babies lose some weight in their first week and gain it back in the next. Babies will tell you when they are hungry, they will stop eating when they are full.
The only potential issue could be if you are feeding formula (for whatever reason)- Formula is packed with fat and mucho protien, and it is the same everytime you feed. While breastmilk generally comes in watery at first to quench a baby's thirst, then gets fattier and more protien to fill them up- so a baby can drink a little bit to quench thirst and for a long time to get full. They learn to satisfy themselves. However, because formula is what it is and nothing more- if they are thirsty and not hungry they get the full fat and protein without getting their thirst satisfied.
Yaddy Yadda- I digress.
Basically- it is normal to be excited about taking the best possible care of your baby, and the most important thing to remember- is that you are the best judge of what your baby needs. :D No doctor or book or yahoo answer jockey can give you any better advice than what you can offer yourself. :)
Oh- and congradulations on the new baby! :D

You are talking about the health / nutrition of a one week old new born . . . for heavens sake go ask your doctors office, the free help phone line at a hospital, go on line, a baby book...some might know the answer here, but you're talking about your week old baby ! I have an answer, but for something like this I would not want the responsibility of the nutrition of your newborn baby on my head. I'm just a woman floating around on this yahoo answers site. That is your newborn baby...go seek a medical answer or the very least in a baby book or online. I wish you well.

Congrats on the toddler! an conventional feeding trend for a new child is 100ml each 4 hours (6bottles an afternoon) If she wakes up till now than she is due it somewhat is probably by using fact she is hungry, theres no harm in feeding her slightly early. good luck.

Newborns are suppose to drink a least 1oz every 1 hour. So if you feed it every 2 hours it should eat 2oz.

My personal opinion is you feed them as much and as often as they desire, until they start eating solids. This will ensure a strong healthy baby. Don't worry if they get a little on the pudgy side, that wears off when toddlerhood sets in.

has she put on at least a couple ounces since she was born? if so, she should be ok with that ammount for the next couple of weeks. after that, you should try and encourage her to take up to 4 ounces every 2 to 3 hours. and try and keep it on as regular a schedule as possible!! for any more questions, contact your pediatrician.

As often as she wants and as much as she needs. They let you know by turning their head when full and crying when hungry. What you are feeding her now sounds right.

Relax. Babies know when they are hungry and when they are full. If she's content with what you're providing for her, that's perfect!
