peopel at skool call me emo ,but i dont think i am how do i tell if i am, what should i do about it ,my perents would freek if they found out what they call me, HELP !

If you don't think you are emo, you aren't. It's a conscientious choice.
"Emo" isn't about Hot Topic clothes or being mopey all the time--it's a specific genre of music that includes Sunny Day Real Estate, Jets to Brazil, The Promise Ring, etc. Most people use the word "emo" to stereotype people who seem like they'd listen to that sort of music.
It does not mean anything bad and your parents shouldn't care if you listen to Fugazi or Vivaldi.

Just be yourself. Dress the way you want to dress. If they think your emo then let them think that. You shouldn't let people control you like that. So what if your parents find out if they love you they won't make a big deal about it.

the next person that calls you emo, gouge out their eyes while shouting "I AM NOT A TICKLISH MUPPET!!" that will put a quick stop to it!!

emo is just short for emotional. most emo kids wear dark clothing. (no spikes) dark makeup. tight clothing.

check your wardrobe for any dark clothes and dont wear dark make-up and make sure your hair is not oily. take showers 3 and a half times a day. be very happy and gay and shave your hair off. be smart. dont smoke pot or weed or heroin. good luck my dear!!!!!!!!! dont be ugly and be MERRY AND GAY!!!
