Peace has to do with dying to our selfishness and finding lasting satisfaction to have the emptiness we can feel. St. Ignatius of Loyola in his Spiritual discernment noticed that when he contemplated God and good things, the joy he felt lasted, but when he thought of war victories (he was a professional soldier), the glorious feeling was short-lived. We have been created for and by God; we will never rest until we rest in HIM. (paraphrase from THE CONFESSIONS of St. Augustine. This world will never satisfy us. Jesus Christ taught and promises that if we drink from his font, we'll never be thirsty again. Christianity isn't only about self-denial, it is about living life to its fullest! The rules simply tell us how to get the most out of the game and truly enjoy it! By the way, did you know that:

The japanese symbol for war is "two women under a roof".

The japanese culture is ancient. Seems like the ancestors knew the answer to your question centuries ago! : )

There was no peace when Golda Meyer was in charge. She picked a fight with Madame Sadat at a women leaders' conference in South America. Indira Gandhi didn't break it up either.

No, women are the cause of a great deal of turmoil. They are no different than men in terms of an ability to separate selfish wants and desires from what is best for the community at large.

Absolutely not. I have seen women who have come into power, and they are just as ruthless as men. They can back stab with the best of them, fight, bicker, and deal the death blow without a second thought or a twitch of conscience. I can assure that it would not make one bit of difference.

I would LOVE to write "yes! women are the best! blah blah blah!" but i really don't think so. I think men do tend to be more agressive but there are plenty of women who are just as agressive. This question borderlines on "girls are better than boys, boys are dumb, boys have cooties!" silliness in my opinion.

I think female leaders would lead the same way male leaders do. Nothing would change.

No. As with everything, we need a balance.

Besides, look at how catty women can be just in the workplace.

Nope, they'd start fighting with eachother and that might lead to an even worse situation than we have now.

OH god no...they'd nag each other and gossip...maybe if one leader insulted another leader's shoes...then there would be peace for awhile, since we wouldn't be talking to each other.
