Are the Microsoft Certification exams hard?

I'd like to test out on a couple of the MC exams, but don't know how much I should prepare or how much they cost. Is there an opportunity to retake, and what does the retake cost?

The retake policy on some microsoft exams is pretty simple, you pay for another test. Some testing centers will give you a free re-take, and some training facilities will also give you a free re-take as well.

I believe the cost of the retake is the entire price of the exam.

And as far as preparation goes, the Microsoft exams are based on answers from the way Microsoft suggests you repair things. Any book you buy from the Microsoft Press, or has that logo, is going to be the most accurate to their tests, simply because it was written specifically with the certification tests in mind first, and education second.

I believe they cost 125 dollars per test beginning in january 2007

Yes! The ordinary user will need to study. Be sure to get the Study Guide book from the library or an online source and read it. I found the Word, Excel and Outlook tests to be difficult even though I use the programs every day. I learned a lot from the studying about features I have had no reason to use so far.

All of these exams are $125 each whether you re-take them or not. Overall, they are extremely difficult. My husband works at a Vue Testing Center and has seen scores range from 420 ish to 980 ish. In order to prepare one should not only get good study material, but should also try to find sample Microsoft questions.
