Count from that day until your next period. If you see a regular pattern, you can determine ovulation from the 11th to 14th day of your next period.

Predicting ovulation is vital to successful conception. Ovulation is the release of a single, mature egg from the ovarian follicle following a Leutinising Hormone (LH) surge. When this egg or ovum is fertilized and implanted it results in pregnancy. Knowledge of the ovulation or fertile period can be very useful for women who are trying to conceive.

Counting Days.

The first day of your cycle begins on first day of bleeding. Count from that day until your next period. If you see a regular pattern, you can determine ovulation from the 11th to 14th day of your next period. Note that, to use this method, you must know how long your cycle usually lasts. Our ovulation calendar works well to pinpoint the potential fertile periods for those who have regular cycles.

13 1/2 days from the first day of your period is typically when ovulation occurs. It could be plus or minus a day depending on the length of your cycle. Not everyone one is on a 28 day cycle. You can get an ovulation kit at the pharmacy that tells you by your hormone levels when you should ovulate.

For a typical 28-day-cycle you count 14 days BACKWARD from the time of your NEXT period is supposed to arrive. There are also several ovulation calendars out there that can help!

to know when you ovulate you count roughly 14 days before your next period is due not 14 days after you have started your period this only applies if you have a 28 day cycle.

the day of your period is classed as day one of your cycle.

so for example if your cycles normally last 32 days you will ovulate around cyc;e day 18.

the best way to determine ovulation is to do bbt or use ovulation kits.

good luck.
