There are several ethnic and distinct ethnic groups that reside in the sahara desert. The Sahara desert stretches from the Red Sea to the highlands of Ethiopia. It is almost as large as the United States in terms of size.
There are different ethnic groups with various languages and religions such as the ber ber of the north western africa, nomads of the nile valley, Bedouins central and north east africa.
