Is their 12 bolts in the rear end housing cover? If so than YES!!!! Camaros are light in the rear end so you will get considerable wheel / spin. If it's a 12 bolt than the same forged ring and pinion in it is also in the ground pounding "69" Camaros and Corvettes that had the underrated 427 ci 460 hp with 470+ lbs of torque

Nope not at all. Stock rear ends won't even hold up to 400HP. the 10 bolt is a WEAK rearend. you will need to upgrade to a nodular iron Ford 9" rearend. The Ford 9" design when setup properly can handle WELL over 8000 HP

How are you arising with the four hundred hp parent? the first difficulty is that its probably not a Posi.,meaning you'll spin one wheel all the way down the music. i'd bypass with a 12-bolt posi. 3.seventy 3-3.ninety ratio 8.875-inch. ring equipment. A Powerglide isn't the superb tranny for drag racing, i will actual bypass with a swifter four hundred with a stall. one element that you need to save in options about Camaros 80 2 and more recent is the they have a Unit-body, that signifies that basicly the finished motor vehicle is the body and they're going to twist with larger Horse power applications until eventually you make stronger it. Ive been racin for years, bypass ahead and e mail me in case you want.

if you are talking about 600hp with out NOS then you can weld the tubes, get heavy duty axles and a large tooth ring and pinion then it can handle it, but it is easier to get a Ford 9" or a Chevy 12 bolt

not for long, a ford 9 inch or Dana 60 will still need a bit of work to do it reliably
