Hmmmmmm

It's basically saying that two things are similar in one way, but hten again different in another aspect...

Hmmmm let's give an example.....

"We were playing football with a proper ball"
And someone says "No it was a tennis ball"
Replying back saying "Same difference" Implies that the 'same' is that it's a ball, and the 'difference' is that it's not a proper ball [the tennis ball] is nothing like a actual football.....

It's like instead of saying animal you say aminal (as I do for fun) Same differece.... the word is meant for animal, but spelt differently....

So by saying 'same difference' implies the object has something which is the same as another, but diffferent at the same time.....

I hope that helped.....
I sometimes get confused my self when explaining something... so if your confused, your not the only one ;) I tried my best though....only a school kid :P

Difference is defined as the opposite of equality. Same is defined as equal. "Same difference" is actually a nonsensical colloquialism. "Equal opposite of equality" could only mean that the two things are equally not equal, which is generally not what the user of the saying is attempting to express.

In place of "Its the same difference, really," more succinct and comprehendable options would be "There's no difference, really" or "Its the same, really."

The difference is that they are not exactly the same, but they generally mean the same thing. Like in, "Whats the difference between ethics and morals. Morals equals the right or wrong of conduct. Ethics equals the study of standards of conduct and moral judgment.

But in general, morals and ethics are used interchangeably and meaning the same thing, standards of conduct or standards of right and wrong.

They are both about conduct but one, morals, is based on personal choice or religious beliefs, while ethics is based the study of all specific schools of standards of conduct, religion, group, individual, governmental and scientific.

It's an expression. It means it really doesn't matter--people and their "creative form"! Happy Holidays!

Just a stupid saying; it sounds quite uneducated, so I don't know why people use it.
