No matter what his background is...this is a very sad situation. He left a one year old, seven year old and a wife behind. Now, whether it was for money, his chain or whatever the case may be...no human being deserves this!
Oh and might I add that he is DOMINICAN!! (I am too)
Not that it should even matter. We are who we are, no matter your skin color, height, weight. You say we have to wake up...but I think it should always begin with ones self.
May he RIP

It's a shame stuff like this keeps happening!! I really don't understand what goes on in peoples heads now a days! Yea his chain was worth $20,000, but so what, if the man choose to wear nothing but that chain, that is his business!! Obviously the man worked hard enough to get that chain, just because some bi**h a***s felt they had to kill a person over a chain just shows what kind of people they are!!! Who ever did this will get theirs! Some dumb a** people out here walkin the streets. Rest in Peace Carl Blaze

He had a twenty-thousand dollar necklace on. Perhaps THAT had something to do with it. Read the article again.
I didn't say ANYTHING about black people, you did. Anyone could rob him for that necklace. DUH
From Yahoo News: Carl Blaze, born Carlos Rivera, was shot outside an apartment building near Manhattan's Inwood section on Dec. 7, and his $20,000 diamond chain was stolen, police said. He was taken to Harlem Hospital Center, where he died Saturday.

Dude you are an idiot....they have not even come out with the official story, but police belive a lady had somethign to do with it...and they are investigating her.
That WOMAN happens to be one of his ex-mistresses. So probably...logic would suggest she got mad at him about something and shot him because of that.
It is sad that he was shot dead, but there is always a motive. The motive is not racist people wanting to kill a black perosn because of their popularity. If a white person wanted to accomplish that...Opra would have been shot a LOOONG time ago.
How about instead of following Malcom X and instigating violence, you try something else like asking your fellow "black people" to search out the truth to his murder, and try to teach tolerance between races. It is that mentality that you have that makes this world and Nation harder to live in.

Racism is a terrible and abhorrent thing. Unfortunately it has become fashionable to simply label those we disagree with, or disapprove of as being "racist". How sad it is that you so casually and flippantly throw out that label. Doing so minimizes both the meaning of the word, and the act its self.
Both your sentence structure and your spelling are atrocious. Please at least use the "SPELL CHECK" the next time you choose to indiscriminately label something / someone "racist".

most reports I've seen on this say that he wasn't robbed.
but this is the first that I saw that said it might be do to racist. I don't doubt that a racist would do this, I just wonder where you heard/read that from (since I would like to read it)
but any way yes people should defend themselves in case something like this happens (heck even if it just a robber)
