I will get up early and then drink some coffee. Then, just like any morning around Christmas, I will take a long walk toward the center of town and watch the pigeons and clumps of newspaper moving and whirling round about. After I find a nice clean bench I will sit there and smoke cigarettes for a spell. I like to look at the clouds too. I hope it won't be raining. If someone comes near I will say "Merry Christmas" to them and wait to hear if they say anything back. But I doubt there will be anyone there to happily greet me like that. Then I will start whistling the theme song from The Godfather. After I get bored with this I will start judging the store window decorations for festiveness and conformity to my recollections of my childhood. Then about 9AM I will start back hopefully and in anticipation of what lunch might be. After lunch I will go to my room and take a nice nap. After awakening I will sit and stare out my window and watch the never ending procession of squirrels and cars passing by. Happy happy, joy joy! After that I have no further plans so who knows what will happen! You?

My family all head over to Mom's house like we do every year. Mom is the best for making Christmas special for all of us.

Just the three of us. We'll be opening gifts and having an early dinner. I think we'll try to do something different next Christmas...like go to the mountains in a cabin....that would be nice. Hopefully it will snow in the mountains next year.

I don't care WHAT the Holiday is, as long as I get a day off. This year I get 2 days off (Monday AND Tuesday) to hang with myself, my computer, and my 3 cats. I LOVE Holidays!!! Merry Christmas to all!!!

I'm talking to you, and thinking of my kids, one of which is in the Army and just now home from Iraq and his second tour of duty, and the other living with her mother. And my wife and I are spending a very uncommercial, and respectfully holy and blessed Christmas here at home with our Advent candles lit and our Nativity scene a prominent part of our home. I do appreciate your asking. God Bless you and be with you always.

It's going to be just the family and a quiet dinner after a lot of sweat and tears.
