I would say if you can only get one, get Gears of War. The ability to play the campaign Co-op makes it immensely fun. And the graphics are awesome.
CoD 3 is also a really great game. Your not going to go wrong with this one either.
Rainbow 6 is a waste of money.

Gears of War. Multiplayer makes it great for playing with friends. Plus the actual campaign game is fun. Rainbow six I thought was made a little shoddy with a lot of glitches. And I rented Call of Duty 3 last night but havent played it yet. Those games are fun to me but dont last long enough! In the end its all about what you want most though!

Seriously, GOW is the best shooter on 360 now, no drawbacks. Its a PS3 Resistance Fall of Man Crusher!
COD3 is a downgrade from COD2. They removed the ability to pick up and mix guns, and replaced it with special job abilities like generating ammo :(
RSV's auto regen health system, poor Xb1 graphics, and restriction on guns makes me want to return it to the store. The game is more arcadish which makes me do not want to try as hard...not sure how it got a good rating.

If you want fast action, go for Gears, if you want epic battles, go for COD3, and if you want tactical action go for Rainbow.
